Australian Zoo (Free day)

I went to the Australian Zoo on one of our free days. I had a lot of fun there we got to watch the croc. show, watch people train tigers, and feed Elephants. During the croc. show they told us how to avoid a croc. attack by staying a certain distance away from the water because they don't move fast on land I think it was somewhere around 4 km but I don't recall the exact amount. It was cool seeing how fast the croc snaps it mouth and you could hear the sound all the way in the audience, it was pretty cool.

Then we watched the tiger show which was just the trainers talking about how they throw a plastic plaque onto the ground as a marker for the tiger, the tiger is trained to walk to that spot and stay there this is good for photos and such professional things. The male tiger did meat training and then his sister tigers came out and did milk training. The milk training is good for doctor check ups and taking blood from the tigers. The trainer just has a carton of cows milk and opens it to a drip the tiger till stay and just sip on it calmly while they have a doctors appointment.

We got to feed elephants, it was pretty neat I never touched an elephant before. Their trunk leaks out either water or snot, it smelled pretty bad. But it was pretty fun, I fed Sabu the elephant a piece of cantaloupe. We had a little time left after that before we had to leave the zoo so we went on the koala walk which led into the kangaroo pen. We were fortunate enough to see a Kangaroo with her joey in the pouch, it eventually popped out its head, it was so cute! Every time the momma would look in a certain direction or sniff the grass so would the joey. Surprisingly the mother also let us near her and pet her with no problems.
